The band formed in the spring of 1994, and a year later released its first single. The music evolved from three folks bitching about the lack of good indie rock in garage rock damaged memphis. We all stopped whining about what we didn't have and started making music of our own. Our sound contains bits and pieces of the ole memphis "dirty bastard" attitude rock and blues as well as displaying a well meant tribute to the indie rock pioneers from the early 70s upward. To date corn fed has released: 1986 ep, June, 1995, Resort Theory Entertainment; For your impecible taste, vol. 1; August, 1996, Resort Theory Entertainment; Little Darla Has a Treat for You, May 1997, Compliation release from Darla Records(track 12), NFFTF, full length cd, September 1997, Resort Theory Entertainment/ Shangri La Records.
