Hard Candy was formed in the fall of 1992, in deep south Georgia (Brooks County), by Jeff Wiggins and James Jones.  Soon after, Brooke Martin joined the band.  Originally conceived as a recording project, the band spent the next several years making "live" home recordings.  In 1996, they began recording on a four-track portastudio.  In the spring of 1997, five of these songs were released on the band's own label asd Sweatin' to the Indies.  Currently, Hard Candy is recording a follow-up to be released in Spring 1998.
