Lead guitarist/singer for Black Molly
I recorded the following song with Zane, a guitar,
two mics, a tape
recorder, and a reverb unit.
The simplicity lends itself to this man's talent. This was done
at my house on the
spur of the moment when Zane was visiting. Zane picked up a guitar and
started playing. It
only seemed right for me to grab two mics and start recording.

©1997 Zane Bowman
Born is Roswell, NM on June 4, 1971, Zane Bowman was raised in the Abilene, TX area since the age of six months. Interested in drumming at a very young age, he played on coffee cans and cardboard boxes, accompaning his father, guitarist Bill Bowman. Zane was given his first drum set at the age of 12. Over the next few years, Zane refined his drum skills, developing his own progressive style.
Craving to expand his musical horizons, Zane started playing keyboard at the age of 14. He still uses the keys as a writing instrument.
The next logical step was guitar. Bill Bowman had a number of guitars around the house. Zane picked one up and starting learning note by note, developing a distinctive sound.
Bass guitar came naturally for Zane. His sense of rhythm from drumming and his since of melody from guitar made him an excellent bassist.
Zane can also play mandolin and harmonica. If you have a musical instrument in the room, Zane will always fix his attention on it.
In April 1997, Zane recorded an eight song demo tape. Five of the tracks feature Zane on all the instruments.
