crustaceans were formed in March 1995 by Sam Jones, Brian Sparks, and
Karl Bullock to
perform songs that didn't fit with the members' more punk rock flavored
bands. Crowds for
crustaceans shows soon surpassed the other bands, and a trip to the
studio was scheduled.
This was followed by a second studio stint, and a 10-song tape was
released. Four
pressings were sold out, and crustaceans returned to the studio in 1997
and released a cd
of the new material plus the 10 songs from the tape. In the middle of
1997, Jessica Mills
abandoned her saxophone spot with Less than Jake and joined on with
crustaceans, adding
sax on some new material.
