The following sound file was made in late 1995, after a couple of nights of listening to a chirping cricket in a cement crack just outside the front door. I discovered that the crack allowed for an excellent signal to noise ratio when a cardoid pattern mic was placed in front of it. I initially recorded the cricket on one track of my four track, then later added more tracks. The effects are the pitch, speed controls & pans on my 4-track combined with my Quadraverb 2, brand new at the time. Because of the high frequency nature of this creation, much fidelity was lost on the RA encode.
These two sound files were created with a little help from Shannon. Back in '95, I was playing with my Q2 and 4-track with some friends at my house. I just so happened to be rolling tape when Shannon did this.
